Gravitational waves from big bang detected

Physicists have made a groundbreaking finding by gathering evidence of a long-predicted twist in light from the big bang that represents the first image of ripples in the universe called gravitational waves. John Kovac, a radio astronomer at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts, who led the study, confirmed that this might be a direct proof of the theory of inflation.
